These terms govern purchases of physical artworks on glint-art.com by individuals acting for non-business purposes, in all countries served by GLINT. Rules specific to the European Union are distinguished below from GLINT's commercial commitments. Mandatory protections applicable in your country remain unaffected. The applicable version is the one made available to you when you place your order; a later amendment does not change an order that has already been concluded.
2. GLINT artworks
The artworks are printed on a mirror surface. You choose the artwork, size and, where applicable, orientation from the options on its product page. Check these choices and the dimensions before ordering.
Artworks are sold unframed. The frames and settings in photographs, videos and simulations are used to present the artworks. Reflections vary with the light, surroundings and viewing angle; they are not an additional printed scene supplied with the artwork. This presentation does not limit your rights if the product you receive does not match the agreed characteristics.
Producing an artwork in a standard catalogue size after it has been ordered does not make it personalised or remove your right of withdrawal. Any genuinely personalised order would be subject to separate information before the contract is concluded.
3. Prices, FREE pieces and payment
The price of your chosen size and the payment currency are shown before you order, including applicable taxes. Any delivery charges are added to the price of the artworks and shown before you confirm payment. The final summary sets out the items, discounts actually applied and the total amount payable.
GLINT offers for eligible sizes M and above are:
| Eligible paid pieces | FREE pieces in size M |
|---|---|
| 2 | 2 |
| 3 | 4 |
| 4 | 7 |
Eligible choices are identified during the purchase process. Size S does not qualify for these offers. FREE pieces must be identified as such and appear at zero in the final summary. An additional piece purchased individually remains chargeable unless an offer is expressly applied and displayed before you order.
You can buy individual pieces or build another bundle. Some combinations of offers are not compatible in the same cart; the purchase process informs you before confirmation. There is no implied additional offer beyond the three tiers above. Displayed savings correspond to the FREE pieces actually selected, rather than a flat discount on the entire order.
Payment is made using one of the methods offered at checkout. These terms do not guarantee any payment method that does not appear on that screen.
4. Placing and confirming your order
Before paying, you can check and correct your selection, contact details and delivery address. Final confirmation of the order carries a clearly stated obligation to pay.
The contract is concluded when GLINT confirms acceptance of your order on a durable medium, such as an email. You receive your order information and the applicable terms in a format you can keep. Keep this confirmation so that you can refer to the agreed sizes, prices and benefits.
If a problem prevents us from fulfilling your order, we inform you and offer a solution consistent with your rights. We do not impose a different artwork or size without your agreement.
5. Preparation, delivery and receipt
Preparation is stated as taking up to 2 business days. This period concerns preparation; it is not a transit time or a promise that you will receive your order within 48 hours.
The destinations served, charges and delivery time applicable to your order are presented before you confirm it. They are detailed in the Shipping Policy, together with any import information applicable to destinations outside the European Union. International shipments use FedEx International Economy; transit times depend on factors including the origin and destination and are separate from preparation time.
For destinations outside the European Union offered on the website, GLINT covers customs duties and import taxes associated with delivery. You do not have to pay these charges on arrival. If the carrier nevertheless asks you to pay such duties or taxes, contact us before paying so that we can check the request with FedEx. Customs procedures may affect transit times without removing your delivery rights.
For sales to consumers in the European Union, unless a different period has been expressly agreed, delivery takes place without undue delay and no later than 30 days after the contract is concluded. In the event of a delay, you may request delivery within an appropriate additional period and, if delivery still does not take place, terminate the contract and obtain the refund provided for by law. No additional period is necessary, in particular, if we refuse to deliver or if the agreed date was essential and we had been informed of this. For other destinations, the agreed delivery times and your mandatory remedies continue to apply.
When delivery is carried out by a carrier offered by GLINT, we bear the risk of loss or damage until you, or a third party designated by you other than the carrier, take physical possession of the goods. The statutory exception concerns a carrier chosen and commissioned by you who was not among those we offered.
If a parcel appears damaged, let us know as soon as possible and, if possible, keep photographs of the parcel and artwork. Helping us handle the matter in this way is not a condition that removes your statutory rights; you do not have to resolve a dispute with our carrier on your own.
6. Your right of withdrawal
GLINT offers a 14-day return period from receipt, without requiring you to give a reason, whatever the destination we serve. In the European Union, this period also corresponds to the statutory right of withdrawal for the standard products concerned. Outside the European Union, it is a commercial commitment by GLINT and does not reduce any more protective rights your local law may provide.
You must inform us of your decision before this period expires. If goods from the same order are delivered separately, the period starts when the last item is received. Where mandatory rules for calculating time limits extend the deadline, that extension applies. The following arrangements also govern GLINT's commercial return commitment, subject to your mandatory rights.
You may use the form in the appendix or any statement clearly expressing your decision, sent by email to the contact in Section 1 or by post to the registered office. You do not need discretionary authorisation from GLINT to exercise this right within the time limit.
After informing us, send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days afterwards, to the return address in Section 1. The deadline is met if the goods are dispatched before it expires.
You bear the direct cost of returning goods because you have changed your mind, as communicated before you order. If a product is defective or does not conform to the contract, GLINT covers the return costs necessary to handle the statutory guarantee claim.
Handle the artworks with care and use suitable packaging when returning them. You may examine them to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. A deduction for diminished value may only be made where it results from handling beyond that examination and can be justified. There is no flat restocking fee. The absence of the original packaging does not, by itself, remove your right of withdrawal.
We refund the payments received, including the initial standard delivery charges in the event of a full withdrawal, without undue delay and no later than 14 days after being informed of your decision. Any supplement for a more expensive delivery method chosen by you is not refunded beyond the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered.
We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or evidence that they have been sent back, whichever occurs first, unless we have offered to collect them. The refund uses the same payment method as the order, unless you expressly agree to another method that does not incur fees for you.
7. Withdrawal and bundles
When returning an entire bundle, return all the pieces in that bundle, both paid and FREE. The refund covers the amount actually paid; a piece supplied at zero has no cash refund value.
For a partial return, tell us which pieces are concerned. For an individual bundle, the number of pieces you may keep free of charge follows the tier still met by the eligible paid pieces you retain: 2 paid pieces allow you to keep 2 FREE pieces; 3 paid pieces, 4 FREE pieces; 4 paid pieces, 7 FREE pieces. If you keep fewer than 2 eligible paid pieces, none of that bundle's gifts remains eligible to be free of charge.
For gifts no longer covered by that tier, you choose either to return them or to keep them and accept the deduction of their normal price from your refund. This is the price communicated for each artwork and its size when you placed the original order, never a later price. We provide a written, item-by-item breakdown before you make your choice.
Example: you received 3 paid pieces and 4 FREE pieces. If you return one paid piece and keep 2, you can keep 2 pieces free of charge. For the other 2 gifts, you choose which to return and, if you wish, which to keep at their original normal price.
The refund for returned paid pieces corresponds to the amounts actually paid for them. If you choose to keep gifts that are no longer eligible, only the sum of their original normal prices, itemised and accepted by you, is deducted from that refund. Refundable delivery costs and any justified diminished value are handled separately under the applicable rules.
We confirm in writing the details of the pieces to return and the refund, taking into account the original offer and, where applicable, the other items in your order. This check does not make notification of your withdrawal subject to our agreement or shorten the statutory time limits.
No piece originally supplied free of charge is automatically billed retrospectively. No additional debit or flat penalty is applied solely because of a partial return. If a gift that should be returned is missing, or if the value of gifts you wish to keep exceeds the available refund, we contact you to agree on a solution. This does not authorise any debit or arbitrary deduction. The treatment of initial delivery charges for a partial return is specified in the breakdown, in accordance with applicable rules.
8. Non-conforming products and statutory guarantees
The more favourable commercial commitments in our Return and Refund Policy continue to apply: if a piece arrives damaged, faulty or different from what you ordered, GLINT covers its return and offers a replacement or a full refund, according to your choice.
The right of withdrawal is separate from your remedies if an artwork arrives damaged, has a defect or does not match your order. Contact the seller with your order reference and a description of the problem; photographs can help us assess it but are not the only acceptable form of evidence.
The goods benefit from the statutory guarantees applicable to your sale, independently of the commercial return policy. For sales to consumers in the European Union, the statutory guarantee of conformity protects against defects that exist at delivery and become apparent within a period of at least two years. Romanian Emergency Ordinance OUG 140/2021 also covers goods manufactured after ordering. Outside the European Union, the mandatory guarantees and remedies applicable in your country remain available; the presentation of European rules below does not replace them.
You may request repair or replacement free of charge, subject to the statutory rules on impossibility or disproportionate costs. Romanian law provides for goods to be brought into conformity within a reasonable period not exceeding 15 calendar days after the seller is informed, agreed in writing with the consumer according to the circumstances and without significant inconvenience. In the cases provided for by law, you may obtain a price reduction or termination of the sale. Under the conditions of that law, termination is not available for a minor defect.
These rights are not replaced by a 14-day commercial return policy. The expiry of this two-year period does not remove other remedies that may remain available, including those relating to hidden defects under applicable law. Any additional commercial guarantee could not reduce these rights.
9. Complaints and amicable resolution
First send your complaint to GLINT using the contact details in Section 1, with information identifying the order and the solution requested. The complaint procedure does not prevent you from contacting the competent authority or court.
For disputes within its jurisdiction, the Romanian alternative dispute resolution scheme for consumers is accessible through the ANPC SAL platform.
For a cross-border dispute within the European Union, you may also seek assistance from the European Consumer Centre in your country.
10. Applicable law and consumer protection
These terms are governed by Romanian law. This choice does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of habitual residence that would apply in the absence of a choice, particularly where GLINT directs its activities to that country, in accordance with Article 6 of the Rome I Regulation.
No clause requires you to bring proceedings exclusively before a Romanian court or restricts the courts available to consumers under the applicable rules. If a provision of these terms cannot be applied, your mandatory rights remain protected.
